MISSION
To ignite and inspire lasting change by fostering community, growing industry-based and transferable skills, and empowering students to champion equitable pediatric healthcare one why at a time.
VISION
To bring our community together in fighting to change kids’ health across Central Texas.
Miracle Network Dance Marathon
Texas THON is part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization and nationwide movement that raises funds and awareness for more than 170 pediatric hospitals across North America.
In 1991, students at Indiana University founded Dance Marathon in the memory of Ryan White, a fellow student. The program now spans the entire country, benefiting hundreds of hospitals and countless kids. Dance marathons have become a tradition on campus and in the community. Each event is entirely student-run and all donate 100% of the raised funds directly to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Last year alone, college dance marathons raised more than $20 million. Since inception, Miracle Network Dance Marathon has raised more than $300 million for kids across North America.

Absolutely not. In fact, we like to say that bad dancing saves lives. Our main event at the end of the year is a dance marathon; however, dancing consists of very little of what we do.

Miracle Makers fundraise by attending events. It is low commitment and just requires that you register an account.
Our internal team is responsible for joining a committee which contributes to the running of our philanthropy. It is an incredible opportunity to contribute to something bigger than yourself and gain industry-specific and transferable skills.

100% of your donations go to Dell Children’s Medical Center. The funds are up to their discretion on how they are used. Recently, donations have been used to fund the creation of a new bed tower, the STEM cell program, and the HERE campaign, which focuses on keeping families together for treatments.
